Whether you chase Profit, Power or Principles, remember that the Truth may be optional, but Breaking News is paramount!
Finding euphemia

Finding Euphemia is an adaptation of Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino, written from a female gaze. In this quirky card game, play as a person whose desperate search for their missing sister leads them to a strange city where things aren’t what they first seem.

Papercoda Games is an indie studio based in Cologne, Germany, founded by three multimedia creatives from India, South Africa, and Vietnam.Our mission is to cater to the rapidly growing but underserved market of strategy & simulation games that explore real-world complexities in a fun and insightful way. We plan to lower the high threshold of entry into this sector and attract more gender-diverse and relaxed gamers through non-violent themes, cozy aesthetics and gameplay that is easy to learn but hard to master.

Pragya is a storyteller who loves escaping into make-believe worlds. After trying her hand at everything from writing to journalism to filmmaking and EdTech, she has found her calling in game design. At Papercoda she's crafting immersive fictions that take the logic of reality to its absurdist extremes.

Darren loves making up games to play with his friends, be it a board game weekend with ridiculous house rules, a new roleplaying adventure he’d spent months writing, or some zany improv comedy games to perform on stage. He programs too, which helps.

Lilly loves doing things with her hands, whether that is sculpting a model, sewing clothes or nurturing one of her many plants. She worked in the film industry for over 3 years, where she made props and dabbled in animation. She is now making games and bringing her unique sense of creativity to projects at Papercoda.

Doğa is a software engineer who spent 5 years working across various domains from automotive software UI to narrative editor tools. And now she works on games because if you do the job you love you never work... Right? Or sth like that. She loves playing all sorts of games as long as it has an “I’m here for the plot” option.

Kim Vu
sound designer
Kim loves to sit in front of video games and feel something. This quirk drove him to writing his own music and crafting tiny tonal pieces - so that one day, he too can make himself and others feel some things. He is now burdened with the joy of crafting aural amusements for the future enjoyers of Breaking News.
